Why The Register?
Finding the right support during pregnancy and early parenthood can feel overwhelming. There are countless providers, directories and recommendations but knowing who you can actually trust is another question.
The Register is our answer: a thoughtfully curated network of professionals we would feel comfortable recommending to our own community. Our goal is not to be the biggest directory but to be a trusted one.
Why we started
The Parenthood Register grew out of our work in the baby business, The Nursery Atelier, which offers nursery design and baby preparation concierge services. Because we were already trusted by so many Houston families, expecting parents kept asking us for recommendations — and we realized how exhausting and uncertain it can feel to search for providers online, where anyone can look good.
So we built this as a living directory of Houston's most trusted maternity and newborn specialists. Everyone here is someone in our network who we know does a good job and would happily recommend.

Our founding team is made up of Houston parents who have walked the same path — sleepless nights, feeding struggles, the search for the right photographer, the hunt for a pediatrician who listens. We only recommend providers we would trust with our own families.
